Miscellaneous items include camera, film, itinerary, laptop, and possibly a list of persons you wish to pick up souvenirs for. You may even wish to bring a French translator or dictionary if you are not familiar with this language as it is the main and usually only language spoken in Paris.

The accommodations in Paris include a number of fancy inns, hotels and other types of lodging like condos and apartments for rent. They also come in a number of styles that include business, romantic and cozy to name a few and can be according to budget as well. Hotels around the city
- Hotels that are located somewhat close to the action are found in the business district of Paris and very close to shopping and entertainment at local bars and resterauants.

Hotels in the city center- To be even closer to the action though, you can stay in a hotel located in the center of Paris where you will be within walking distance to railways and some of Paris’ best known tourist attractions like the Louvre Museum and even some located within meters of the Eiffel tower. Hotels and inns in Paris feature French design buildings made from beautifully carved stones used in the early days, some dating back to the 12th and 13th century.

Hotel and inn prices- Hotel and inn prices range from £56-£336 depending on the location within Paris. Accommodations closer to downtown are going to be higher in price than ones located on the outskirts of town.

Resident homes for rent-
In the residential areas, you can find fully equipped and furnished apartments and condos rented out by locals anywhere from €600. These private homes can be rented on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis and are mostly found online or in the local papers.


Transportation in Paris:

Transportation while in the city of Paris include trains and buses which are the best and most convenient ways of getting around while touring the city.

Metro train system- Traveling by the metro train system within the city is similar to any metro city train system in that it is numbered by lines and includes 15 lines consisting of 370 stops all together that are centrally located in the major areas of Paris. The train system runs from around 05h30-12:30am.

RER trains- These are commuter trains that will take you into the suburbs surrounding Paris. There are 5 lines in total and they are lettered A through E. It is operational the same times as the Metro and in most cases, you can use your purchased Metro ticket on this train as well. Other cases include going to places outside of Paris like Disneyland and airports.

Buses- The stops are labeled with numbers and run from 06h30 till just slightly after 12am. Noctambus buses run throughout the night on an hour basis and go between the Chatelet and the gates of the city.


Cost- You can purchase a Paris visite pass that will allow you to make use of all 3 transport systems within Paris at no additional costs during your stay. The price for this pass ranges from a 1 day, 3 zone pass for an adult at €12,50 to  a 5 day,6 zone pass for  €63,90. You can pre-purchase your pass online at La Conciergerie, an authorized online seller. Bus passes can also be obtained for one time uses and range anywhere from €1.50 to €8.00 or a discount book containing 10 passes can be purchased for €11.10.
