Bordeaux is a port city that is located in Southwest France. This city is rich in culture and history. The eighteenth century was the golden age of Bordeaux. During World War II the French government relocated to Bordeaux from Paris until it was moved again to Vichy.

Bordeaux is perhaps most well known for its role in the wine industry. This area has more than a quarter of a million acres of vineyards. More than eight hundred million bottles are produced of wine each year. Some of the most expensive wines are produced in Bordeaux. Place de la Comedie

The Grand Theatre is a symbol of the city's culture. It was built around 1780 as part of the city's burgeoning prosperity. It is one of the few remaining theatres left in the world from the eighteenth century. It has columns that make up the facade with statues of the goddess and muses. The interior is quite beautiful and a tourist attraction that should not be ignored.

Cathedrale St. Andre
is located near the southern area of the town and has sculptures that date back to the thirteenth century.

Basillique St-Michael is a church constructed in parts that began in the fourteenth century and was finished in the sixteenth century. Across the street from this church is Fleche St-Michel with a tall tower that is second only to Cathedral at Strasbourg.

The Museum Beaux-Arts
has a collection of works from the fifteenth to the twentieth century. Some of the works include Titian, Delacroix, Perugina, Reubens, Marquet, Veronese, and others.

International Organ Festival takes place from Jun to Sep each year. It is a great place to listen to unique organ music and takes place in the Saint-Andre Cathedral.

Journees du Patrimoine
is a great opportunity to explore the rich and historic heritage of the eighteenth century buildings. The art deco designs are prime example of Roman architecture.

The Nuit des Rollers
takes place each month on the last Friday. People from around the city come to skate and to watch the skating of the others.

The Antique Fair takes place every year in October at the Hangar 14 location. The materials are in pristine condition and are checked by experts. You can browse through the many antiques to see if you can find a deal.

The Fete Du Vin Nouveau takes place annually in October to celebrate the new vintage of wind being produced. A wine antiques fair takes over the streets of the city and over ten thousand people will enjoy the sights, smells, and sounds of this fair.
